Intermountain Financial Group, a general agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co., plans to celebrate the opening of its new location by hosting an open house with 40 Norman Rockwell pencil sketches on display.


The public is invited to attend the event from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 27 at 6330 S. 3000 East, Suite 600, Cottonwood Heights.

MassMutual commissioned the art work for use in advertising in the Saturday Evening Post and other magazines in the 1950s and 1960s. The scenes capture moments in everyday American life, with an emphasis on family and children’s activities.


Intermountain Financial Group was founded in 1857 and has been in the Old Mill area of Cottonwood Heights since 2003. It moved to its new offices earlier this month. The agency has more than 13,000 policy owners with a total of nearly $4 billion in life insurance in force.
